CAB Youth Chattogram University Unit organized ‘Choruibhati 2026’

The Young Generation must grow up to be Capable of Contributing to the welfare of the Country and the Nation.

The young generation must develop into worthy citizens who are capable of contributing to the welfare and progress of the country and nation. Without being worthy citizens, it will not be possible to contribute to the country. After July 24, some intellectuals advised young people to become partners in national power in order to mislead them, turning them into power-seekers instead of developing into worthy citizens. As a result, many promising young people have pursued wealth instead of developing themselves to be capable. Consequently, they are deprived of the opportunity to contribute to the welfare of the country and nation. The nation has lost many talented individuals. Today’s youth will be the leaders of the nation in the future. If they do not develop themselves to be skilled and capable, the nation will be talentless in the coming days. Therefore, students and young people must vow to develop themselves as skilled and capable individuals and contribute to the welfare of the country and nation.

08 May 2026 AD, at the pondside of the University of Chittagong Botanical Garden, various speakers made the above comments at the ‘Boishekher Adda’ and Choruivati programs organized by Chittagong University Youth CAB. The event was presided over by the president of Youth CAB CU branch, Rozain Al Rafi, and the chief guest was S M Nazer Hossain, Vice President of the CAB Central Committee. The honored guest was Professor Hossain Shaheed Sohrawardy, Proctor of the University of Chittagong. Other speakers included Youth CAB Chittagong City President Abu Hanif Noman, CAB Sadarghat Thana President Shaheen Chowdhury, CAB Chandgaon Thana President Zane Alam, General Secretary Ismail Faruki, Panchlaish Thana President ABM Humayun Kabir, General Secretary Abdul Awal Shaheen, and CU Cafeteria Affairs Secretary and Youth CAB CU member Masum Billah. The event was conducted with the facilitation of Youth CAB CU General Secretary Tanzim Ashraf Ratul, Event and Planning Secretary Touhid Ullah, and members Sumaiya Sabbira Mithila and Maria Mostofa.

The speakers further said that in all the struggles of the country, including the Great Liberation War and the 1971 Mass Uprising, the role of the youth has shown the nation the way. Therefore, if the youth do not make the right decisions at the right time, there is no way for the nation’s salvation. If the youth do not behave responsibly in proper political and socio-cultural activities, the youth community will become frustrated. And if the youth community becomes frustrated, the potential of the nation will be curtailed. Alongside studying, the youth must act as a guiding light in protecting consumer rights, preventing food adulteration, addressing climate change, expanding renewable energy, energy transformation, safeguarding women’s human rights, correcting various social injustices, and combating social inequality and wrongdoing.

The all-day “Boishakh Adda” festival, in a lively environment, includes cultural programs, sports competitions in various events, and raffle draws among other activities, making the entire event even more vibrant. 

The active presence, love, and lively participation of both newcomers and seniors made “Choruibhati 2026” an even more memorable day. Guests thanked the organizers for the adda, joy, culture, and some beautiful moments spent together. Later, the chief guest announced the list of various members who were promoted from associate members to active members. It is notable that in the Youth CAB CU branch, there is a provision to promote members to active status after review of their activities following initial registration as associate members. This greatly helps in developing the leadership and skills of the members.
