ISDE COVID-19 Emergency Response-Appeal for Maintain “Social Distance”!

As local voluntary social development organization ISDE Bangladesh distributing a number of leaflets for awareness on social distance to prevent the COVID-19 and follow the health instructions by the Government of Bangladesh. ISDE distributed in Cox’s Bazar, Rohingya camps, Chattogram city corporation areas. ISDE has involved in distributed small amount of hand sanitizer, hygiene kits, soap and masks to the hardcore and jobless families from its own limited resources. ISDE also form a COVID-19 Response Committee, Orientation for staff and Response team, awareness on social distance through miking, distribute local made sanitizer, hand washing facilities in each entry points targeting to local kitchen markets etc. ISDE is trying to continue the COVID-19 emergency response program, continue awareness campaign among the staffs and program participants including social media campaign, distribution of IEC materials, miking for maintaining social distance etc, distribution of food packages to the jobless hardcore poor, extreme poor and other marginalized peoples in host communities as well as Rohingya camps, distribution of personal protection health and hygiene kits, expansion of hand washing and spraying facilities at the kitchen markets, maintain regular coordination with the relevant Government departments and following Government instructions in relation to the COVID-19 intervention. Its started distribution of food box and hygiene kits to 2000 families in Rohingya camps, host communities of Ukhiya and Chakaria Upazila under Cox’s Bazar district and small number in Chittagong City under support from WJR UK, Fahim Khaza & Anisha Foundation USA and Wish Foundation- Australia and ISDE own fund.
