The upcoming national parliamentary election is extremely important for the nation. There are certain groups actively working to mislead the public by spreading false and misleading information on various social media, aiming to steer the nation in the wrong direction once again. In order to prevent these malicious activities and deliver authentic news to the general public, the role of religious leaders is indeed significant. Religious leaders are always committed to guiding the nation in the right direction during any crisis. Therefore, in view of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election–2026, an orientation meeting was held on Thursday (08 January 2026) at the Chakaria BRDB Hallroom, organized by the non-governmental development organization ISDE Bangladesh and in cooperation with the international development organization IFES.

During the meeting, various speakers discussed raising awareness among religious leaders about voters’ rights, the election process, and their role in inclusive and peaceful elections.
