ISDE has distributed Grants to four Social Organizations in Chattogram

Cheque for funding support have been distributed among four voluntary social organizations to strengthen social development activities at the local level in Chattogram division. This support is provided under the ‘Partners for Prosperity’ program implemented by the non-governmental development organization ISDE Bangladesh and in collaboration with the UK-based international development organization Muslim Charity UK.

The event was organized at the ISDE head office in Chittagong city on Sunday 26 April 2026 and was attended by Muslim Charity Country Coordinator M. Fazlul Karim as the chief guest. The event was presided over by ISDE Bangladesh Executive Director and CAB Central Vice President S M Nazer Hossain. The event was moderated by Project Officer Raisul Islam.

Among others who spoke at the event were ISDE’s Program Coordinator Md. Jahangir Alam, Advocacy Officer Russel Uddin, Youth CAB Chittagong Metropolitan President Abu Hanif Noman, Society for Cerebral Palsy Children in Development ( SOCEP) Executive Director Mohammad Mizanur Rahman , Social Development Society ( SDS) President Ferdousi Begum Moushumi , Manzil Representative Omar Faruk,  Youth Voice for Change ( YVC) Treasurer Rony Das, and ISDE’s Communication and Media Officer Md. Simon Islam.

In his speech as the chief guest, M Fazlul Karim said , ” Local organizations are the most powerful driving force for social change. Reaching them directly has a positive impact on people’s lives quickly. Through the ‘Partners for Prosperity’ program, we want to advance sustainable development at the grassroots level. Such initiatives will continue in the future as well.”

In his speech as the president, SM Nazer Hossain said , “’ Partners for Prosperity’ is not just a grant program , it is an effective platform for capacity building and sustainable development of local organizations. Small initiatives eventually create the foundation for big changes. We want organizations to use this support to bring visible and positive changes in their respective areas.”

A total of 5 lakh 40 thousand taka checks were handed over to the representatives of four organizations at the event . Out of this , 1 lakh 50 thousand taka was given to SOCEP for purchasing physiotherapy machines for poor patients , 90 thousand taka to SDS for income-generating employment work for 3 poor women beneficiaries , 1 lakh 50 thousand taka to Manzil Sanstha for purchasing furniture for the students of Baklia Mahila Madrasa, and 1 lakh 50 thousand taka to YVC for installing an iron removal plant at Purba Baklia Boys School and providing safe water .

The organizers said that under the program , selected organizations are being provided financial assistance to implement small scale voluntary development activities . This assistance will play an important role in education , health , awareness and social development in their respective areas .
