Speaking as the chief guest, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Sharif Uddin said, “Under this program, assistance is being provided to encourage the initiatives of different types of local social organizations. In particular, some are working on the renovation of the cemetery, some are creating employment for the disabled community, and some are providing important work like providing school dresses to children. These diverse and noble initiatives to solve various problems of the society are truly commendable. If all NGOs come forward to support local enterprises in this way, the society will surely be enlightened. ”
S M Nazer Hossain, Vice President of CAB Central Committee and Executive Director of ISDE Bangladesh, said, “Through the Partners for Prosperity Programme, we are transferring the donation money directly to the grassroots NGOs. As a result of this, the local dedicated organizations are getting the opportunity to identify the problems of their areas and implement small but effective development initiatives, which will play an important role in the development of the grassroots level. Speakers at the event said that such assistance will play an important role in building the capacity of grassroots organizations and implementing development activities at the local level and advancing the development of the society.
The organizations that received the grant are: Usha Alo Jubo Sangha, Youth Innovation for Action, Rajakhali Open Library, Pekua, Cox’s Bazar, Nari Unnayan Foundation, Laxmipur, Kacharimura Samaj Kalyan Sangha, Pekua, Cox’s Bazar, Prayas Jubo Sangha, Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar, Sabujer Jatra, Chittagong, Swapnachoa Foundation, Chandpur, Coastal Advancement Society, Maheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar, Swapna Nari Unnayan Sangstha, Chandgaon Protibandhi Unnayan Sangstha, Bearish Manav Seva Old Age Home, Chattogram, Palli Pragati Sangstha, Chandanaish, Chittagong and other organizations.
